Leadership-A prime Factor towards Innovation

There has been a continuing debate on whether leaders are born, or made. I conform to the view point that leaders are made and not born.
On a more relevant note students get and can create opportunities for themselves still being in schools or colleges to learn and showcase their leadership skills and organization abilities. The experience of organizational festivals at college level is insightful.
The biggest lesson for a student is derived from the similarity of organizational festivals and in the wider perspective, creating, influencing mindsets of a bigger set of people al college level to that of running a corporate organization .
The most important quality that a student learns through such initiatives of organization is the art of developing a clear vision of things. One learns that the best way to mange issues is by filtering the really necessary points from those that are deceptive in importance and take up.
More importantly such experience teaches one to take responsibility fro his/her decisions and deal with other people too.

Fire In The Bottle -The documentary movie

The documentary movie which I still love to watch is “Fire in the bottle”. I have seen it number of times. The music reawakens the patriotic fervor in you. I saw it when it was reflecting my state of mind. I had just finished my engineering and was planning to go abroad to do my Masters Degree. I was confused because a part of me telling me I should stay back and do something here instead of going abroad and earning pounds for their economy. “Fire in the bottle” cleared my confusion, provided the answer I wanted. When the Chief of NASA asks the hero, why he wants to go when they have the beast of technology, he says “Technology? We don’t even have electricity in many parts of my country”.

Music making to remember the past

A Norwegian music band” SevenWinds” recently held a concert for the survivors of the Bhopal gas tragedy. Seven Winds performed outside the Union Carbide plant where the tragedy took place 24 years ago. Later the performers from Bhopal joined the band and sang Hindi songs. Lead guitarist of the band Beckay expressed that the moment they decided to visit he could not think of visiting any other place than Bhopal. “It doesn’t matter that there was one victim or twenty five or one hundred thousand. It will be always a victim who gave his life unnecessarily” said Beckay. Over 3500 people died in the days following the accident, when toxic fumes leaked out of the Union Carbide plant in Bhopal, on the night of December 2, 1984

Memorable Mysore Trip

I went on a holiday to Mysore, 110 km from Bangalore. It was a family tour. We went to see many places. I t was a memorable vacation. We stayed at the Lalith Mahal Placae hotel. My grandparents, brother and I stayed in room number 15 and we were told that this is where the king’s guest stays. We visited many monuments. The first sight of the Mysore Palace was impressive and the image is still with me. We visited the Rangan Thittu Bird sanctuary where we photographed many birds. We also went to the Nagarahole Forest. We climbed 600 steps to reach the top of the hill. We saw the statue of the Gomateshwara. We saw Tippu Sultan’s summer palace and his tomb.

The Ancient Vedas- A thing to remember

I have read in books more about the Vedas. It’s all about the Indian heritage.
I share my experience about Vedas. I believe we would all agree that the term "Veda" has been used in different contexts in the recent history. But the Rishi's used it in a singularly accepted context during their time. The context has been lost for at least 3000 years. The term "Veda" in Sanskrit actually means knowledge. But the usage has been done in context of understanding something. For example the book of physics which contains knowledge of physics is different from "physics". The book itself is not physics. Now, Veda wherever used by Rishi actually denotes the basic Tattwa's or elements of cosmic creation. Because this truth, was so commonly known in those times, the Rishi's mostly used the term Veda in the place of "Tattwa Veda".It’s really awesome, when it comes to Indian culture. I feel more and more excited when I read about Vedas.

Way to be Happy

Let me give you the good news first. It is possible to be happy. Yes, even in today's times when the odds are stacked so heavily against happiness. There is a catch to being happy. It’s a warning to all of you. And it is this in order to achieve happiness a person has to want to be happy. Desire it identify it and acknowledge as much as you can.
We focus excessively on things that don’t make us happy, rather than those that do. It becomes a vicious cycle of regurgitating all that annoys rather than a remembrance of all the uplifts.
We also assume everybody's idea of happiness is more or less the same as our own.

First day in College

With all hope and high spirits students step out of high school and step in to college life. It’s the crucial part in a student life. Of course we need to sacrifice all our fun and entertainment, when it comes to studies. It’s always good to have fun and entertainment with studies. Through my experience, I say that college life is a place where one can get all kind of experience, both the good and the bad. I was in high spirits when I entered the college campus. I could remember the first day of my college life. It was like a market, with hustling and bustling all round the way, with students finding their class rooms. I could see the enthusiasm of the students to pursue their higher education. The day was good finding new friends all over the campus. I was good to find a couple of good friends according to my taste. The college principal gave the valuable speech, as how to grow up in the college campus and come as a successful student.
